Tracy Bonham Interview Sneak Peak

TBo in Echo ParkBefore Review Fix posts the full interview with Grammy Nominee Tracy Bonham over the next week or so, we figured we’d give you guys a sneak peak into what to expect. Extremely laid back and fun, Bonham was easily one of the funnest interviews we’ve had a chance to do on the site thus far.

Review Fix: Favorite non-alcoholic beverage?

Tracy Bonham: Are there any? This is going to be bad because I’m going to be promoting a big large chain, but I really like Starbucks’ chai latte. But with no water. You have to order it with no water because they always dilute it.

RF: Spider-Man or Superman?

Bonham: Spider-Man. No idea why though. I guess I kind of like his costume.

RF: Led Zeppelin or the Beatles?

Bonham: The Beatles. Before I was 25, I always thought of Zeppelin as cock rock. I did get into them later though.

RF: Favorite Beatle?

Bonham: Such a tough question. Why don’t I just say Ringo? Yes, I’m going to say Ringo. He’s just the unsung hero.

RF: Favorite thing to do when it’s raining that has nothing to do with music.

Bonham: Lighting a candle and taking a bath.

RF: Favorite TV show?

Bonham: Madmen. It’s really good.

RF: Favorite movie that you’re ashamed to tell people that you love?

Bonham: Pineapple Express. I’m not that ashamed though.

RF: How has your husband [Rolling Stone executive editor Jason Fine] affected your career?

Bonham: He’s very critical. He’s hard to crack. I can’t tell what he’s thinking sometimes. He’s very supportive, but not easily impressed. He’s seen a lot. He’s honest and brutal at the same time.

RF: Favorite breed of dog?

Bonham: Labrador retriever.

RF: What are some songs that get you pumped before you get on stage?

Bonham: Anything by LCD Soundsystem. They’re really great.
