Move Over Bieber

Brock Zanrosso, Canada’s latest teen hearthrob and runner up of the county’s YTV’s “The Next Star,” has recently released his new music video “Perfect Storm,” directed by Nathan Boey. It is an infusion of techno, rock and pop. This single has a rhythm that’s infectious from the verses, to the breaks, bridges, and chorus. Its beats are obviously meant for the dance floor and the music video does a great job at putting perfect images and scenes to this uptempo track.

The video is incredibly fun, as scene after scene showcases Zanrosso busting a few of the latest moves with a sexy backup dancer entourage. The lighting and sets give audiences a sense that this is indeed an entertaining club scene track. The futuristic video’s direction by Boey is also creatively done and chock full of slow motion stills and fast paced clips of the artist and his posse, often giving the piece a ‘Matrix’ kind of feel. The video is “out of control” as the song suggests and although it is a fantastic video to dance along to, it could have shown less repetition of Zanrosso and his crew dancing, and more storyline including the ‘perfect storm’ girl that quickly shows up between each dance scene.

Nevertheless, Zanrosso’s “Perfect Storm” will hit you just like the title suggests, and will keep you up and on your feet as you sing along and break a sweat with your friends the next time you hit the clubs to recreate the dance scenes in this music video.

She loves keeping busy, yet does not mind the occasional moments when she can catch up with a good book wrapped in a fleece blanket, and drinking a cup of tea (which may sound boring to her friends and boyfriend, but she doesn’t care). She has always loved to read and write at an early age. She will be the first to admit that she is a nerd-and loves anything sci-fi such as the X-files. She is also a fan of Harry Potter and Spongebob Squarepants, and counts them as her favorite Heros next to Wonder Woman and Marty McFly. However, unlike most nerds, she can’t do math if her life, or yours, depended on it.
