Husbands, the Series: Could This Be Love?

If you still haven’t gotten attached to the new web series, Husbands, stop right now, go to HusbandsTheSeries.com and watch it (it’s short—don’t worry).

Done yet?

Good.

Episode four of Husbands, “A Decent Proposal,” just went up today, and yet again, they’re delivering the comedy—but this time with just a bit of heart. In a touching moment, Brady tries to convince Cheeks that maybe their spur-of-the-drunken-moment wedding actually could work. And yes, Brady proposes! Well, sort-of, with help from Cheeks.

Previously, in episode three, “Being Britney,” we saw guest star Nathan Fillion take the role of a sportscaster reporting on the ridiculous events that led to said marriage, and there’s footage from the night in question as well, featuring a slurring, shirtless Cheeks riding on a slurring, shirtless Brady’s back in a veil, talking to a news camera. As Cheeks says in response to the newscast, “Yay, publicity!” And they do look cute in shorts… but Brady has just finished talking to GLAAD, who says it’s probably an idea to file for divorce just 10 hours later—that’s a Britney move.

Sorry, Cheeks, you can’t be Britney.

With only four episodes in and two more to come next week, only time will tell if they can really make the marriage work—though, to be honest, we prefer even more time to view the unfolding of events, say in the form of an actual TV series… but I digress. So far, the show has not had a single let-down moment, and that touch of sweetness at the end of four was perfect and way too adorable for words.

To help you better catch up, Cheeks has posted the first three episodes on YouTube for those who have some problem with visiting the official website—so you really have no excuses. Check it out, and check back here next Thursday for a recap of episodes five and six!

Husbands premieres on its official website every Tuesday and Thursday at around 10 a.m.
