Skyrim, Biggest Game Ever?

Those expecting an already beefy gameplay experience later this week when Bethesda’s Skyrim is released should expect an even meatier one.

According to Jason Schreier’s blog on Wired.com, Skyrim will have infinite quests.

Building off their successes with the Fallout series, Bethesda has added quests and options to nearly every element of Skyrim. Once all the main and side quests have been completed however, randomly generated missions will come into play. What this means as far as how it will change the overall gameplay experience is uncertain, but it does mean the game will be much longer than Oblivion.

Considering how deep that title was, Bethesda might have an even bigger epic on their hands.

Saying that they’ve learned from their mistakes in the past [hopefully that means the complete elimination of the gopher quests that plagued Fallout: New Vegas] and found a few new tricks along the way, the folks at Bethesda plan to make sure that quest completion isn’t the game’s only focus.

Wanting gamers to explore the vast lands, Skyrim’s main objective will be on discovering the huge world Bethesda has laid out for them.

  1. It’s hard to say if Skyrim is the “biggest” game ever made. However, it will no doubt win “game of the year”. I’ve been playing it for a while now and I’m thoroughly enjoying it! It’s hands down much larger than Oblivion. I feel like I haven’t even made a dent in it and I’ve been playing it everyday for a month! I am curious to know what is the largest game ever made (gameplay wise) though. I’d imagine Skyrim has to be in the top 5.
