WWE RAW Coverage: Will You Marry Me?

Damn AJ is crazy. But is she entertaining or what? This whole angle between her, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk is like something out of “50 Shades of Gray”- An utter mess, but an enjoyable one.

And to think, just a few months ago, she seemed like a complete waste of space. Well, that’s how shallow the creative team made her appear to be.

AJ’s facial expressions during the opening segment were magic. She has the ability to tell a story with her face. Plus, she can wrestle. While this angle is fun, it’s a wonder what she could do in the divas division.

Regardless, with the dual marriage proposals and the return of the anonymous General Manager, later revealed to be Hornswoggle, this episode of RAW, for what it lacked in match quality, was at least, fun.

Oh yeah, and John Cena vowed to win the RAW Money in the Bank match, while The Rock promised to show up on RAW in two weeks for the show’s 1,000th episode.

Good times ahead.

Matches:

World Champion Sheamus vs. Jack Swagger: Sheamus made a statement and put Swagger out with the Brogue Kick in less than two minutes.

Christian and Tyson Kidd vs. Tensai w/Sakamoto and Dolph Ziggler w/ Vikki Guerrero: After interference from Ziggler, Tensai hit a corner avalanche on Christian and finished him with a senton backsplash. After the match, Tensai powerbombed Kidd on the apron.

Brodus Clay vs. Drew MacIntyre: A vicious headbutt and his trademark splash was all it took to put “The Chosen One” away. Good night.

Big Show and Chris Jericho vs. John Cena and Kane: A decent tag match and one that showed off a very different Jeri-Show. This time around Show was not the hapless ape he used to be and played a key role in the match. His interference was a catalyst on several occasions and kept Jericho in the driver’s seat. But Kane had one of his best matches on RAW since his return. His energy and selling of Big Show and Jericho’s offense made the match better than it should have been. Sure, Cena had his little routine, Boy Scout moment and nailed the Attitude Adjustment on Jericho, but Show got his team DQed after he pulled Cena out of the ring and attacked him. The seven-footer brought the ladder into the ring after the bell and took out Jericho and Kane, but Cena fought back with a ladder of his own.

Money in the Bank Qualifier: Sin Cara vs. Heath Slater: Boring and routine match that saw Cara win with his Titl-a-Whirl Faceplant. La-Di-Da. Slater complained after the match and was greeted by former WWE champion Bob Backlund. While Slater had a quick flurry of offense, Backlund, wrapped up Slater in the Cross-Face Chickenwing.

Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole: Lawler won in a quick beat down of sorts, but after interference from Booker T, the decision was reversed.

Eve and Daniel Bryan vs. AJ and WWE Champion CM Punk: This match was all AJ, who picked apart Eve. Things were a bit easier for her after Bryan left Eve out in the cold and refused to tag back into the match.

When it was all over, Punk refused to marry AJ, so he got slapped. Bryan wanted to wed her, but he got slapped around too. What does AJ have in store for Money in the Bank?
