Jack Skellington Disney Infinity Review: Pumpkin Bombin’

Jack Skellington is a blast to watch in “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and he’s just as much fun to play with in “Disney Infinity.”

Available from Oct. 5-28, exclusively at Gamestop, Skellington’s antics are a ball, well, a pumpkin one, that explodes. That’s just the beginning of why the cult-favorite character is a figurine worth adding to your Infinity collection.

Like the other Disney Infinity characters, Skellington has a simple three-hit combo (Skellington’s attack will remind you of the moves of the Monsters University characters), but unlike many of the other characters, he has the ability to hurl projectiles- a-la the pumpkin bomb. This gives him the ability to pick apart enemies from afar and up close.

Known for his trademark scare antics, Skellington’s three-hit attack is a scream, literally. Similar to the X-Men’s Banshee, it’s powerful enough to get the job done, although he lacks the “punch” of the game’s more powerful characters such as Mr. Incredible.

Aside from the usual mastery adventures, the other Skellington-themed adventures are available in the Toy Box. One adventure involves Jack fighting hordes of enemies in Halloween Town, while another has you fighting baddies on a level filled with floor tiles, which over time, disappear, making it just as much about strategy as it does defeating enemies.

With cool attacks and several fun toy box missions, anyone who’s blown through the main world’s of “Disney Infinity” will find Jack and his quests another diversion that will steal a few more hours of your time.
