WWE Main Event Coverage: On The Hunt For Langston

Even with a title opportunity for Big E Langton’s Intercontinental championship, Main Event didn’t provide enough action to delight the crowd this week. There was no excitement in the developments as the match card was just boring. With Wrestlemania right around the corner, the card could have been a whole lot better.

Matches:

Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler: A Brogue Kick from Sheamus caused Ziggler to tumble out of the ring, allowing Del Rio quickly went for Sheamus’s arm with his Cross Arm Breaker. Sheamus wouldn’t stay down though as he powered through the vicious submission. After Del Rio used the Back Breaker on Sheamus, Ziggler reappeared and nailed the Zig-Zag on Del Rio to earn a number one contenders spot for the Intercontinental title.

Eva Marie, Ema, Natalya Neidhart, Cameron and Naomi Knight vs. Layla, Aksana, Tamina Snuka, Summer Rae and Alicia Fox: After a mini brawl between the divas, Tamina picked up the win with a vicious superkick to Naomi.

Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston vs. Dolph Ziggler: Langston used a headlock on Ziggler to weaken his opponent early on, but a Dropkick and Neck bBeaker from Ziggler took the big man down. Langston then gave Ziggler a Belly-to-Belly suplex right after multiple Clotheslines. Even after Ziggler’s Fame-Asser, Langston still kicked out when Ziggler went for the pin. Langston soon retained his title with the Big Ending.
