NXT Power Rankings: Tyler Gets Breezed By

Whoa, in what was easily one of the best Main Events in NXT history, the show did something it hasn’t done in weeks, entertain.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who advanced in the NXT Tag Team Tournament and who left the show as NXT Champion.

Honorable Mention: Bull Dempsey: Even in defeat, Demsey found a way to establish his dominance. Although he’s still rough around the edges, he’s like a poor man’s Taz already. We just need to see more moves from him- enough ground and pound already. His Bull Dozer finisher is an awesome move, but may serve better as a set up hold. A guy this nasty needs a submission finisher.

5: The Vaudevillains: The best gimmick on NXT, Simon Gotch and Aiden English are committed to it and are blast to watch. From their cool entrance to their cool Double Senton variation finisher, they get better every week. Their win over Bull Dempsey and Mojo Rawley wasn’t their most impressive win, but it advanced them in the NXT Tag Team tournament for a title shot against The Ascension and gets them one step closer to where they deserve to be.

4: Sasha Banks: Bayley may have gotten the win this week on NXT to get a title sot against Charlotte Flair, but Banks continues to prove herself as a one of a kind worker. Her Back Stabber/Crossface combination is wonderful to watch, but her use of other submission holds the likes of the Goku-Raku Gatame make her a special performer. Make no mistake, she will be a NXT Womens Champion and a Divas Champion one day.

3: Kalisto: He’s tiny, but he’s got a nice variation of Ultimo Dragon’s Reverse DDT, a great mask and the fans love him. With Rey Mysterio’s retirement imminent and Sin Cara’s inability to get over with fans on RAW, Kalisto has a golden opportunity to make a name for himself and move through the NXT ranks.

2: Tyler Breeze: This match made Breeze a legitimate force in NXT, if you weren’t convinced he was already. Although his title match was a wash after Tyson Kidd interfered, Breeze has proven he can have a great match with anyone and is so much more than a pretty face.

1: Adrian Neville: Already an NXT Champion, Neville didn’t need another good match to pad his resume, but he got an amazing one this week against Tyler Breeze. His rivalry with Breeze and Tyson Kidd continues to grow as well, forcing what appears to be a fatal four-way with Sami Zayn in the near-future.
