NXT Coverage: Neville’s Final NXT Feud

Kevin Owens vs. Adrian Neville on NXT?

Are you serious?

A match you wouldn’t have had to pay to see a few years ago on the indy scene was handed to you on this week’s episode of NXT.

Add in appearances from The Ascension, Baron Corbin and Bull Dempsey and NXT had plenty of depth. With the Women’s title on the line next week and possibly an encounter between the Lucha Dragons and The Vaudvillains, NXT continues to be a better written show than RAW.

Matches:

Bayley vs. Becky Lynch: A decent back and forth that saw Lynch work on Bayley’s leg throughout, before she ultimately got the submission win via the Inverted Figure Four.

Bull Dempsey vs. Nameless Jobber: Dempsey made quick work of the youngster, hitting a few strikes and the Avalanche before finishing him off with the Diving Head Butt from the top rope.

Baron Corbin vs. “Ryzin”: Corbin needed just 14 seconds to beat “Ryzin” with the End of Days.

Konnor and Viktor vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady w/ Carmella: Amore tagged himself in the match and after he tried to impress Carmella, got nailed with Viktor’s STO to earn the loss.

Kevin Owens vs. Adrian Neville: Both guys hit a ton of signature strikes in the ground and pounder that was tough from the get go. Although Neville had the advantage towards the end, Owens was the aggressor, hitting a massive Fireman Gutbuster and Standing Senton. Owens then earned another near fall with a nut Spike DDT from the top. Neville fought back with a German Suplex, a Buzzsaw Kick and a beautiful Suicide Dive to the outside. With both competitors still on the outside, the referee ended up counting to 10 to make it a Double Count-out. After the bell, Owens nailed Neville with the Powerbomb on the ring apron to end the show.
