WWE RAW Power Rankings: Barely Any Rumblings

A less than mediocre episode of RAW, saved only by appearances from Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar, as well as the announcement of Randy Savage’s admission to the 2015 Class of the WWE Hall of Fame, was nearly ruined by awful promo, slow-moving matches and storylines that are anything put entertaining.

Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who made the most out of a lackluster show that did little to build momentum for Royal Rumble.

Honorable Mention: Dean Ambrose: His segments this week allowed him to showcase his humorous side, one that can go a long way in the PG era. One of the deepest characters on the mic and in the ring in the WWE, Ambrose is going to eventually get his shot, but it’s going to be a different type of journey when compared to most. While his possible feud with Rusev isn’t going to be a wild one, it’ll get him back in contention for a title.

5: Roman Reigns: His win over Luke Harper this week was on impressive one and his promo time with The Big Show was decent. Using more moves in the ring, Reigns continues to prove he’s more than a two-move guy. With a great look and plenty of “it,” he’s going to get a push- and soon. It just makes you wonder how soon when he’s wasting valuable “peak” time in a meaningless feud with The Big Show.

4: Daniel Bryan: Ready to get back in the mix, Bryan told the New Orleans crowd that he has a goal of headlining Wrestlemania. Last year, even in the face of a devastating neck injury, he was still easily the most “over” star in the company. The fact that it makes sense for him to return to the spotlight doesn’t guarantee him a spot back at the top of the company, but it sure does help.

3: John Cena: His match with Seth Rollins this week was the best match on RAW this week and so far this year. Away from the horrible job Creative is doing with his character, you’d be hard pressed to find any fault with his performance on the show this week. Simply put, he’s still the top face in the company and is capable of much more, in the ring and mic- if given the right opportunity.

2: Seth Rollins: Thanks to help from The Authority and his pals, Rollins racked up another win over John Cena. Away from Brock Lesnar, Rollins, the current Money in the Bank, is easily the top heel in the company and a guy, who like Cena, could get even more done if he had better opportunities thrown his way. A top-notch talent in the ring and with a budding presence on the mic, he needs to have a belt around his waist- and soon.

1: Brock Lesnar: Thanks to Paul Heyman, Lesnar doesn’t have to worry about saying a word before his Triple-Threat match title defense at Royal Rumble. Regardless of what the number game may be or what the WWE is trying to set up, you have to think that Lesnar holds on to the title, at least through Wrestlemania.
