WWE FastLane Power Rankings: Reigns Set for Showdown With Lesnar

With the Road to Wrestlemania in plain sight, new Tag Team Champions and a wild night of storyline development and in-ring action ensured that FastLane was a memorable event.

Check out our WWE Fast Lane Power Rankings to see who starred in the last pay per view before this year’s Wrestlemania.

What’s in the Stars?: Stardust’s loss to Goldust at Fastlane could actually turn out to be a good thing. With nothing to hold him back, what could the prince of the Rhodes family do with his career?

Sting Don’t Need No Number: While the whole Sledge Hammer vs. Bat scenario was a bit too over the top, the end result was a cool one as the WWE Universe will not only get the Sting/Triple H match at Wrestlemania, they also saw another Scorpion Death Drop.

No IC Title? No Problem: Dean Ambrose: Even though he didn’t leave FastLane with the Intercontinental title, don’t fear, Dean Ambrose is due. You’ll just have to wait until Wrestlemania to see it.

Dead Man Cometh: Bray Wyatt did a wonderful job setting up this feud, but it’ll be interesting to see how The Undertaker answers the challenge.

Honorable Mention: Randy Orton: His return at FastLane marks the beginning of what will be an awesome feud with Seth Rollins. It’s a great place for him, considering Rollins’ spot as the Money in the Bank winner. While it may not be for a title, make no mistake, Orton vs. Rollins will be one of the best matches on the Wrestlemania card. One of the WWE’s most intriguing characters, Orton’s return is a huge shot in the arm for the promotion.

5: The Authority: FastLane was easily a mixed bag for The Authority as their win in the opening match was ruined by the return of Randy Orton. Regardless, with Rollins’ matchup with Orton and the showdown between Sting and Triple H at Wrestlemania all but set, The Authority is still a huge force in the WWE.

4: Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro: The Brass Ring Club reigned supreme at Fast lane, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship in an amazing performance that sets up the continuing feud for Wrestlemania. One of the best Tag Teams in the WWE in years, Kid and Cesaro’s pedigree promises more top-notch technical wrestling performances in the future.

3: Rusev: It may have taken Lana’s help, but Rusev has a win over John Cena. That’s a pretty damn big deal for a guy that was in NXT a year and a half ago. Going 15 minutes with Cena has also shown that Rusev’s arsenal of moves is more than Kicks and a tired submission finisher, as he threw in the DDT, a few variations of the Powerbomb and a nifty Swinging Urinage Suplex.

2:Daniel Bryan: He’s still the best all-around performer in the WWE, even if the WWE would rather push Reigns. It’s sad in the end that the WWE doesn’t give the fans what they want and will instead go with a young, less-proven Reigns to headline Wrestlemania than someone who bleeds for the company like Bryan. Regardless, he did his job and made Reigns look like a million bucks, something Lesnar will not do at Wrestlemania.

1:Roman Reigns: All set for his match with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania, Reigns had the match of his life against Daniel Bryan at Fastlane. Can he do it again against a much stiffer Lesnar? We’ll see.
