WWE RAW Coverage: Another Flop, Until Sting Appeared

Thanks to a horrendous promo between Rusev, his community college theater-trained “lawyer” and John Cena and a card chock-full of meaningless filler matches, this week’s Monday Night RAW was another disaster, salvaged only after another Sting appearance, a great interview with Brock Lesnar and the announcement of Larry Zbysko being a part of 2015 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Matches:

AJ Lee w/Paige vs. Divas Champion Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella: One of the better Divas matches of 2015. Great back and forth action, with plenty of offense and a solid pace. After Brie took out Paige on the outside, Nikki took advantage with the Roaring Elbow and then the Rack Attack for the win.

The Miz w/Damien Sandow vs. Ryback: The Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Sandow after the match, but couldn’t get it done with Ryback, who hit him for the Meathook Clothesline and the Shell Shocked for the win.

Big E. Langston and Kofi Kingston w/ Xavier Woods vs. WWE Tag Team Champions Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro w/Natalya Neidhart: Cesaro got the win after Kingston hit Kidd with the Trouble In Paradise and was left wide open for a European Uppercut to the back of his head. After the match, Cesaro hit the Neutralizer on Woods, while Los Matadores got the last laugh with some antics.

The Big Show vs. Erick Rowan: The match got thrown out after Show destroyed Rowan with the KO Punch and then the Elbow from the second rope.

Battle Royal: Kane and Mark Henry eliminated everyone and fought amongst themselves until Curtis Axel snuck in and eliminated Kane, but was thrown out by Henry.

Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose vs. Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, Luke Harper and Stardust: Plenty of offense from all six competitors in a crazy match that ended with an Ambrose Dirty Deeds. After the match, the offense continued to the outside after Harper took out Ambrose and Stardust took the title into the crowd. By the end of it all, Barrett hit a few Bullhammer Elbows and walked out with his IC Title.

Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins: There was no match after The Authority hit the ring to take out Orton, but Sting made the save. After Sting hit the Scorpion Death Drop on Noble, Orton added an RKO on Mercury.
