WWE RAW Coverage: Not an Extreme Go Home Show

Although this was the go home show before this weekend’s Extreme Rules, it felt like a good episode of Monday Night RAW, but not one that would entice us to pay for, or even watch a Pay Per View.

it doesn’t matter that all the matches on the card were teased (minus any mention of Daniel Bryan and a possible Intercontinental Title defense), the show, away from the antics of Randy Orton were anything but unpredictable.

Matches:

Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper: The fight went to the outside, where both competitors were DQed for failing to get back in the ring, ensuring that this feud will continue for a few weeks.

Sin Cara and Kalisto vs. Kofi Kingston and Big E. Langston w/Xavier Woods: Langston’s power kept New Day in the match, but Cara and Kalisto’s speed was where most of the match’s cool offense came from. However, it wasn’t until the nation spilled to the outside the Dragons took full control. But once it did, Woods held on to Cara’s leg, allowing the New Day to win via count-out. After the match though Randy Orton hit the ring and nailed both Kingston and Woods with the RKO.

Curtis Axel vs. Fandango: Axel got in virtually zero offense as Fandango got the quick win with the Top Rope Leg Drop.

Brie Bella vs. Naomi: A solid back and forth that saw Naomi get the win with a Rear View out of nowhere. After the match, Naomi made sure Divas Champion, Nikki Bella, saw her clamoring for a shot at the strap.

Sheamus vs. Zack Ryder: Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick and then proceeded to beat on Ryder inside and outside the ring, all the while talking smack on the microphone. After another Brogue Kick on the outside, Sheamus went to hit the move again, but Dolph Ziggler hit the Zig-Zag on Sheamus to give the Celtic Warrior the win via DQ.

WWE United States Champion John Cena vs. Kane: Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment for the win after he kicked out of a Kane Chokeslam.

The Miz vs. Damien Sandow w/ Summer Rae: Sandow was in control until Summer Rae interfered and helped Miz get the win.

Ryback  vs. Adam Rose w/Rosa Mendes: Ryback got the easy win thanks to the Shellshocked and then beat on Rose’s entourage.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins w/Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble vs. Dolph Ziggler: What you would expect from a  match between these two with plenty of counters and near-falls. But after interference from Sheamus, Rollins got the win with his new DDT variation. After Rollins and Triple H did some talking, Kane hit the ring and with the Steel Cage coming down to protect him, Rollins thought he was safe, but he ended up stuck in the cage with Orton, who hit the RKO to end the night.
