TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Angle Still on Top

A Best-of-Five series announced for the TNA Tag Team titles, a wild main event that featured former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray, as well as the return of Velvet Sky made for an interesting episode of Impact.

Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see what else occurred during a wacky episode of Impact this past week.

Honorable Mention: Austin Aries and Bobby Roode: Although Aries still has a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight title, but for now, he and Roode will now make it their business to provide some stability to the TNA World Tag Team titles. Set to take on Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards for the straps, it’ll be interesting to see who walks out with the titles after their announced best of five series.

5: Ethan Carter III: His win over Anderson this week only continues to prove his legitimacy as a heel, but we can’t say impressed. Relying more on help from Tyrus than his own skill, Carter didn’t exactly prove his technical prowess in the ring. Regardless, he’s one of the best heels in the industry

4: Taryn Terrell: Sure, she’s still the Knockouts Champion, but her Dollhouse faction is an under-performing mess. A much better face, Terrell is learning the hard way that being a heel isn’t as easy as everyone thinks.

3: The Rising: Drew Galloway’s surprise clean win over MVP was an interesting situation, but Eric Young’s involvement in the angle adds an extra element to the feud. With limited mic time and still, a level of polish not being their in the faction with a former NXT star in Micah and an indie performer in Eli Drake, can The Rising continue to develop as a group? With Matt Hardy a possibility to join the group, could he be the X-factor to put the group over?

2: Eric Young: In spite of all of the momentum he had going into this match, Young was unable to take away the TNA World Heavyweight title from Kurt Angle. Even with the help of the Beat Down, Young seemed to be missing something. All that considered, what’s next for him?

1: Kurt Angle: Thanks to help from Chris Melendez and The Rising, Angle was able to get the clean submission win over Eric young. Who can beat him at this point?
