NXT Power Rankings: Awesome Balance

Eva Marie’s in-ring debut, the promise of a Dana Brooke and Charlotte Flair encounter and a beefy card made this past week’s NXT an awesome one.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who starred in an entertaining bounce-back episode of NXT.

Honorable Mention: Baron Corbin: His win this week over a nameless competitor does nothing to build his credibility in NXT. He’s got a great look and an even better finisher, but he still has yet to have that memorable feud. His time may be running out.

5: Eva Marie: She was surprisingly solid in her first match on NXT and it’s obvious her trainer Brian Kendrick has been a huge help to her. Using Kendrick’s old finisher as well, Marie is already in a much better place than she was a few months ago. Let the girls on “Total Divas” talk some smack now.

4: Samoa Joe: His win over Mike Wallace this week was your typical Joe fare, but you can’t help but be excited at the thought of a Joe/Rhyno match in a few weeks, even if you’ve probably seen them tango in TNA before.

3: Bailey: How can you not love Bailey? Beautiful, funny and open-hearted, she’s like the John Cena of the NXT Women’s Division. She deserves a shot at the NXT Women’s title. But first she wants a shot at Charlotte Flair.

2: Kevin Owens: His feud with John Cena now over, Owens finds himself right back in the NXT title scene. His loss to Finn Balor still stinging, what will Owens do to get the title back?

1: Finn Balor: In his first promo as NXT Champion, Balor was stoic but determined. This will definitely be a different title run than Kevin Owens’. Regardless, while he doesn’t have the destructive power or charisma of Owens, he’s got an abundance of heart, humbleness, and skill in the ring.
