WWE RAW Coverage: Heyman and Rollins Star in Thin Show

Away from the heartfelt tribute to Roddy Piper to start the show, this week’s Monday Night RAW was largely filler matches. Thanks to a great opening match between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Adrian Neville, this show started out incredibly strong, but fizzled out slowly throughout. With no John Cena and few other memorable moments, this week’s episode ended up dragging throughout.

Matches:

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Adrian Neville: This was an offensive showcase and a great way to start the show. Neville hit Rollins with everything from the Dead Lift German Suplex and a variety of kicks and high-flying maneuvers, but he couldn’t put Rollins away. After Neville nearly countered the Pedigree into a pinning combination, Neville got even closer to the title after he hit the Red Arrow, but Rollins got his leg on the rope. Neville went for the move again, but this time he missed and walked right into a Rollins Pedigree for the win.

Eight-Man Tag: The Ascension: Viktor and Konnor and The New Day: Big E. Langston and Kofi Kingston w/Xavier Woods vs. The Lucha Dragons Kalisto and Sin Cara and Los Matadores w/El Torito: Kingston got the win on Kalisto with the top rope Trouble in Paradise.

Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch w/Paige vs. Divas Champion Nikki Bella and Brie Bella w/Alicia Fox: A lengthy encounter that saw Flair get the submission win on Nikki thanks to the Figure Eight. Along the way, the Bellas talked a big game, but Lynch almost got the win earlier with the Disarmer as well.

Rusev w/ Summer Rae vs. Mark Henry: Rusev got the win with the Thrust Kick, no Accolade needed. After the match, Rusev nailed Henry again with the kick.

Zack Ryder vs. Wade Barrett: Ryder hit the Broski Boot, but missed the Rough Ryder, allowing Barret to get the win with the Bullhammer Elbow.

Naomi w/Tamina Snuka and NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. Paige w/Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch: A decent match that saw Paige get the win with the PTO.

Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Sheamus: Reigns got the win with the Spear on Sheamus after Prton took out Wyatt with the RKO.
