Bob Backlund to Appear at Grimaldi’s in New York City to Promote New Book ‘Backlund: From All-American Boy to Professional Wrestling’s World Champion’

Bob Backlund, the two-time former WWE Champion, will appear at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria on 1 Front Street in Brooklyn New York on Sept. 26 to promote his new book,“Backlund :From All-American Boy to Professional Wrestling’s World Champion.”

The event begins at 3 pm.

About the Book:

Bob Backlund began life as a poor farm boy in Princeton, Minnesota, a village with a population of just over 2,000 people. He was a below-average student with a lackluster work ethic and a bad attitude. He was a kid whose life was headed for disaster—until a local coach took interest in him and suggested that he take up amateur wrestling. Less than a decade later, that same farm boy was wrestling’s champion of the world.

About the Contributors

Robert Lee “Bob” Backlund is the former three-time World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion with an in-ring career that has spanned nearly forty years. Backlund continues to make occasional appearances for the WWE as a goodwill ambassador, while also continuing to work with kids in amateur wrestling and traveling the country as a motivational speaker. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 6, 2013. He lives in Glastonbury, Connecticut.

Robert H. “Rob” Miller is a trial lawyer and partner in the New England–based law firm Sheehan Phinney Bass & Green, and  critically acclaimed author of titles including Law School Confidential and Med School Confidential. Miller lives in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, with his wife, Carolyn, and their two sons.
