Review Fix Exclusive: PJ Haarsma Talks ‘Con Man’

Review Fix talks with PJ Haarsma, executive producer of “Con Man.” Set in the world of comic book/sci-fi conventions, “Con Man” sees Alan Tudyk as Wray Nerely, an actor that was on a sci-fi show called “Spectrum” that was given the axe after just 14 episodes. Nerely, slowly growing tired of panels and fans adoring him for something he did 10 years ago, is ready to make a change.

If you’re thinking why does this plot sound familiar? It sounds familiar because it is. Tudyk and co-creator/co-star Nathan Fillion were both on “Firefly,” a great sci-fi show gone too soon. Tudyk along with Fillion and Haarsma thought it would be great to finally shine some light on the world on comic book conventions and their experience with “Con Man.”

In our conversation with Haarsma we discuss several topics including the universal appeal of the series, how they were able to nab a star-studded cast, why Vimeo was a great home for the series, a potential season two and much more.
