What was originally billed as a special episode of NXT was merely recap fodder from NXT Takeover Dallas. Those expecting another new arrival or even the Bullet Club were served replays and promo for WWE Network shows. With only one new vignette (another No Way, Jose), a leftover match from NXT Takeover Dallas, inane chatter from a lispy backstage interviewer and an awful new in-studio addition, this week’s NXT was the first passable one of 2016.
Apollo Crews vs. Elias Sampson: Crews got the win with the Toss Powerbomb, even though Sampson made it a bit more interesting than it should have been.
