NXT Power Rankings: Joe Dominant, Aries Makes Statement

With the WWE Draft this Tuesday, NXT’s roster is about to drastically change. On this week’s show, fans got to say goodbye to Nia Jax and American Alpha, who took part in their last matches with the promotion. However, with four engaging matches, it was far from a sad swan song for anyone involved.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who else starred in an era-changing episode of NXT.

Honorable Mention: Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano: With a win over The Revival already under their belts, Ciampa and Gargano have the potential to win the NXT Tag Team Championships very soon.

5: The Authors of Pain: Their win this week over American Alpha was a great way for them to establish themselves, but it doesn’t get any easier for them from here. Still green, they’ll have to do more than brawl if they want to climb the tag team ranks in NXT.

4: Austin Aries: His win over Patrick Clark this week on NXT was a message to the rest of NXT. With No Way Jose hungry for blood as well, Aries is going to have an opportunity to cement his spot on the upper part of the card.

3: The Revival: Despite the fact that they haven’t defended their titles in three weeks, Dash and Dawson have plenty of reasons to be cocky. Simply put, there isn’t a tag team in NXT that works the ring the way they do.

2:Bayley: She may not be the NXT Women’s Champion, but her win over Nia Jax proves she deserves another shot against Asuka.

1: Samoa Joe: The reigning and defending NXT Champion dominated Rhyno this week on NXT and proved once again that he may, in fact, be the most dominant champion the promotion has ever had. With Finn Balor now on RAW, Joe is absolutely the biggest star in the promotion with Shinsuke Nakamura.
