Review Fix Exclusive: Inside Topps’ NFL Huddle 2017 Digital Trading Card App

Review Fix chats with Jeremy Strauser, Vice President and General Manager of the Topps Digital Apps Division who discusses the beloved Trading Card company’s new app and how it keep you busy the entire 2016 NFL season.

Review Fix: What makes this app different from other Topps Digital Card Apps?

Jeremy Strauser: Topps NFL HUDDLE captures the intensity of the NFL with a focus on the best NFL card brands and designs, including famous Topps brands such as Topps Chrome, Topps Fire and Bowman. HUDDLE also features our most engaged audience for the exclusive Live Contests feature where you can play along with live NFL games using your card collection. The pace of the NFL game and having most games on at one time lend itself really well to the Contests feature – a lot of our fans sit in front of NFL Red Zone with Topps HUDDLE in hand and compete for exclusive digital card prizes.

Review Fix: What was it like to work with Todd Gurley on this?

Strauser: It is an honor to work with the NFL Rookie of the Year. His impact was immediate last season and we expect even bigger things this year in Los Angeles.

Review Fix: How does the app keep users on it for long periods of time?

Strauser: Our fans know there is always something new to collect in HUDDLE, from the regular to season to playoffs and Super Bowl to the NFL Draft, we release new cards daily that carry on the proud Topps heritage of NFL cards. Also, the biggest NFL card trading community online gives fans a chance to connect, wheel and deal to complete sets and find their favorite players.

Review Fix: Any updates planned throughout this season?

Strauser: As mentioned, we will have new content daily that is must-collect all season long. We will feature the Topps NOW series, bringing the biggest moments of the NFL season to collectors as they happen. We also have two big announcements planned – look for one in September that will bring a new legendary feature to the app and one in November that will push the definition of digital cards to new heights.

Review Fix: Bottom line, why should someone download it?

Strauser: If you are a fan of the NFL, and you want the best designs, most loved brands, most trading partners, and exclusive Live Contests, then HUDDLE is for you.

Review Fix: What’s next for the App and Topps?

Strauser: Stay tuned. In addition to the two big features in HUDDLE, we have another new app planned for later this year that we think fans are going to love.
