Review Fix Exclusive: Marissa Jade Talks ‘Destiny: Queen of Thieves’

Review Fix chats with model and actress Marissa Jade, who discusses the new comic “Destiny: Queen of Thieves.” Known for her sassy personality on VH1’s hit show Mob Wives, Jade discusses what it’s like to have a comic character based on her appearance and more.

Review Fix: How did this comic happen?

Marissa Jade: I answered a casting in regards to being a muse for several pieces of artwork and a feature in a comic book. Once I got picked, the publishing house and I went over ideas of what the comic book would entail and how I would want to be represented and it went from there.

Review Fix: What creative influence have you had on it?

Jade: I was always fond of the name Destiny so I took part in the title. And I’m very much into action movies. I was always an active girl, sports player, a bad ass as you would say. So the role I can picture myself doing wasn’t far off from what the character was in the comic book.

Review Fix: What do you think is the coolest part of this comic?

Jade: I just love Destiny’s character. She tough, witty, sly. No nonsense type of girl. I love when she sets people up to take what she feels is hers. No one is better than her in this game.

Review Fix: Did you read comics as a kid?

Jade: I wasn’t an avid comic book reader but I definitely had some. My uncle owned a comic book store when I was younger and I spent a lot of my time in there.

Review Fix: Who do you think will enjoy this comic the most?

Jade: Any superhero fan and or Marvel fan. Destiny is like a superhero/villain at the same time.

Review Fix: How do you want it to be remembered?

Jade: As a woman who was very true to herself. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, even if it wasn’t in her favor. She doesn’t sugar coat things to gain the likes and attention of others. She as real as one can get. And she does things from the heart. Always with the best intentions.

Review Fix: What’s next for you?

Jade: I have a few business ventures in the works that I am very excited about, but will talk about it more when the time is right.

Review Fix: Anything else you’d like to add?

Jade: Anyone who is interested in makeup, hairy styling, health, fitness advice, the latest fashion trends and more, please download my app on iTunes!
