WWE RAW Coverage: Poor Enzo

Away from Rusev’s decimation of Enzo Amore and Seth Rollins calling out Triple H, this week’s episode was a flat outside of the ring. However, while the in-ring action was solid, no Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and the Charlotte and Ric Flair closer made for an uneventful night that continues to prove RAW is the #2 show when compared to Smackdown Live.

Matches:

The Big Show w/Universal Champion Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins: Show fought hard and wasn’t about to go down, but Owens’ big mouth earned him Chokeslam from the apron, into the ring. Show then walked out on the match, giving Rollins the win via count-out. With the win in hand and Owens’ down Rollins hit the Pedigree.

Ariya Davairi vs. Jack Gallagher: Similar to their match on the premiere episode of 205 Live, Gallagher won with the Running Drop Kick in the corner. But after the match, Davairi beat on the ankle on the “Extraordinary Gentleman.”

WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn: Owens took a beating as Zayn hit a beautiful Half Nelson Suplex, but he couldn’t put KO away. Owens fought back with his Superplex Driver and a pair of Cannonballs in the corner. Zayn fought back with the Tight Rope Tornado DDT, a Dragon Suplex, An Exploder (he hit the move earlier on the outside) and the Blue Thunder, but Owens kicked out again. Owens eventually hit the Pop-Up Powerbomb for the win.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann vs. TJ Perkins: Lots of spots in a highly-athletic contest. After Swann escaped the Knee Bar and the GTS Pele Kick, Swann hit the Rich Kick for the win.

Bayley vs. Alicia Fox: A physical contest that Fox was in control of until Bayley got the win with the Belly-to-Bayley Suplex.

Mark Henry vs. Titus O’Neil: Henry won with the World’s Strongest Slam in less than 10 seconds.

United States Champion Roman Reigns vs. Chris Jericho: An enjoyable match with plenty of back and forth as Reigns dominated but couldn’t put Jericho away early. Jericho got a bit ahead of himself when he missed a Baseball Slide on Reigns, which allowed The Big Dog to hit the Drive By. Jericho then countered the Superman Punch into a Lionsault for a near-fall. Reigns fought back with a Samoan Drop and a Superman Punch, as well as his Sit-Out Powerbomb off a Codebreaker counter. It then took Jericho three times to get Reigns in the Walls of Jericho and although he nearly won, Reigns escaped. Kevin Owens then hit the ring and nailed Reigns with a Super Kick, allowing Jericho to hit the Code Breaker for a near-fall. Jericho then told Owens he didn’t need him, but soon enough Reigns hit the Spear for the win.

Rusev vs. Colin Cassady: This match never happened as fans got to see Enzo Amore in a hotel room with Lana before Rusev beat on him.

Winners Face Tag Team Champions The New Day Next Week: Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson: This match got thrown out as both teams decided to beat on New Day instead of each other.
