Review Fix: What inspired the creation of this film?

Suneel Tripuraneni: I love horror and psychological films, but also grew up hearing and seeing scary things happen around me. Having these experiences made me want to tell a story of my own. Nothing complicated, just a simple relatable scary story.

Review Fix: What makes this film special?

Tripuraneni: This is my first film, so it’s in a league of its own. It gave me a lot of learning experiences and allowed me to get involved in all aspects of the film.

Review Fix: What was the feeling like on set?

Tripuraneni: Every member of the film crew put all of their efforts into making this movie happen on a tight schedule. There were some very interesting and even scary events that took place in the process.

Review Fix: You’re getting a ton of traffic on social media. How did you design your outreach for this project?

Tripuraneni: Even though this is an independent film, Fandango was a great resource. My goal was to get the trailer out to a large audience of people worldwide with easy access.

Review Fix: How does it redefine the horror genre?

Tripuraneni: I don’t know about redefinition, but this is a new visual of what a horror film looks like. The family drama adds a different dynamic.

Review Fix: Who do you think will enjoy it the most?

Tripuraneni: I think all horror film enthusiast or just anyone who can relate to the theme of family drama will enjoy this film.

Review Fix: What did you learn about yourself as a director because of this film?

Tripuraneni: Again, this is my first film so I learned quite a bit. The most important thing would have to be planning. Giving everything to what I’m working on currently, while also planning ahead was on a learning curve.

Review Fix: How would you like it to be remembered?

Tripuraneni: I would like for this film to be remembered as a scary, yet relatable, thought provoking film.

Review Fix: What’s next for you?

Tripuraneni: I have concepts floating around for another psychological thriller and maybe even some aliens, who knows.

Review Fix: Anything else you’d like to add?

Tripuraneni: I would just like to encourage movie goers to support independent films. Making a film is not easy, and your support is our reward.
