WWE RAW Coverage: Owens Makes Statement, Bayley Wins Title

Kevin Owens’ betrayal of Chris Jericho and a great main event between Charlotte Flair and Bayley set the scene for a solid episode of RAW that also saw Samoa Joe destroy Sami Zayn and Bayley win the RAW Women’s Title.

Matches:

WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Roman Reigns: This match got thrown out after the Tag Team Champions refused to stop pummeling Reigns, but the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion ended up getting the last laugh with a Superman Punch on Gallows after he escaped the Magic Killer.

Kofi Kingston w/ Xavier Woods and Big E. Langston vs. Bo Dallas: Before the match, The New Day promised ice cream for everyone, but Dallas ripped apart the “Ice Cream Blueprint.” Dallas hit a nice slingshot Final Cut, but Kingston got the win with the SOS.

Jack Gallagher vs. Noam Dar w/Alicia Fox: Dar worked on Gallagher’s leg, but Gallagher got the quick win with the Headbutt and Dropkick in the corner.

Braun Strowman vs. Mark Henry: Strowman won with the Running Powerslam, but Henry nearly won on a few occasions. After the match Reigns hit the ring and hit Strowman with a pair of Superman Punches before Strowman nailed him with the Powerslam.

Sami Zayn vs. Rusev w/Lana: Rusev dominated the entire match, but Zayn stole the win with the Helluva Kick out of nowhere. After the match, Zayn told the WWE Universe he wasn’t about to give up but Samoa Joe hit the ramp and quickly tapped him out with the Kokina Clutch.

Aria Daivari vs. Akira Tozawa: Daivari hit a few moves but Tozawa’s Snap German Suplex got him the win.

Enzo Amore w/Big Cass vs. Cesaro w/Sheamus: Cesaro made quick work of Amore with the Pop-Up European Uppercut.

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Bayley: This was a war. Perhaps the best match on RAW this year. After Charlotte worked over Bayley on the outside, Bayley fought back and hit Flair with everything she had. Dana Brooke’s interference however allowed Flair to come back, but Sasha Banks evened the odds and Bayley hit the Belly to Bayley to win the title.
