A huge card full of setup matches for Extreme Rules did nothing to set the tone for Sunday’s event. Add in a few awful segments and several lackluster storylines and this was easily one of the weakest RAWs of 2017.
Away from what appears to be a fun feud between Goldust and R-Truth, as well as the mysterious drama with Kurt Angle, this week’s RAW was an absolute snoozer.
WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy and Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus, Cesaro and The Miz w/Maryse: After a slew of offense and everyone taking each other out, Jeff Hardy won with the Swanton Bomb after a modified Twist of Fate from Matt.
Zac Evans vs. Elias Sampson: Evans tried, but Sampson put him away with the Spinning Neckbreaker variation.
Samoa Joe vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Finn Balor: A lengthy and fun match that saw Samoa Joe steal the win after Balor hit the Coup De Grace on Wyatt.
Rich Swann w/Sasha Banks vs. Noam Dar w/Alicia Fox: Swann got the win with the 450 variation after Banks made her presence felt.
Kalisto vs. Titus O’Neil w/Apollo Crews: O’Neil won with a Rollup and some tights in a quick one.
Jack Gallagher and Austin Aries vs. Cruiserweight Champion Neville and TJ Perkins: Lots of back and forth but Aries got the win with the Last Chancery after Neville missed the 450.
Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins: This was a war that could have gone either way. From outside the ring to inside, the action was intense. Reigns ended up with the win with the Spear after Rollins missed the Knee Lift.
