Impact Wrestling Coverage: One of the Best of the Year

A beefy card and plenty of storyline development for all of the major title division and feuds made sure that this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling, the first ever in India, was a special one.

But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t without some hiccups. Why was Alberto El Patron’s defense of the Global Force Wrestling Championship the main event? Why is Bruce Pritchard still on the show?

However, while there are so many misses, the small hits mattered. The revamped X-Division is stronger than it’s been in years and LAX’s dominance in the Tag Team Division and Rosemary at the head of the Knockouts Division is solid as well. Simply put, Impact may be closer than ever to finding a middle ground.

Matches:

X-Division Champion Low-Ki vs. Caleb Konley: Low-Ki got the win with the Warrior’s Way, but Konley split open Ki’s face along the way. After the match, Sonjay Dutt hit the ring and shot some promo on the champion.

Davey Richards vs. Vinaash Kumar: Richards made quick work of the Indian jobber with stiff strikes and the Ankle Lock. After the match, Ethan Carter III hit the ring and beat the loser with a belt before James Storm made the save.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Impact Grand Champion: Moose: We all knew Lashley was going to get the win, but Moose made you think twice. After Moose missed the Spinning Lariat, Lashley got the win with the Spear.

Laurel Van Ness w/ Global Force Wrestling Women’s Champion Sienna vs. TNA Knockouts Champion Rosemary: After she took out Sienna, Rosemary was able to beat Van Ness with the Rollup. However Van Ness and Sienna eventually beat on Rosemary before Allie made the save.

Global Force Wrestling Champion Alberto El Patron vs. Chris Adonis w/Eli Drake: A sloppy match that saw Patron win with the Stomp after he avoided the Master Lock. After the match, Adonis and Drake beat on Patron while Lashley watched on the ramp. Moose eventually made the save to end the show.
