GFW Impact Coverage: New Faces, New Champs, Is GFW Finally Good?

With Bobby Lashley making his choice to work with Top Team, a new X-Division Champion, Taya Valkyrie’s debut and a new X-Division Champion in Trevor Lee, GFW Wrestling served up one of its best episodes in the new era.

Matches:

Braxton Sutter w/ Allie vs Garza Jr.: Although Allie played a role and Sutter almost won with a Gutwrench Powerbomb, Garza won with the second rope Moonsault after a vicious kick to the head. After the match, it appeared there’s some tension between Sutter and Allie.

Impact Wrestling Grand Champion Ethan Carter III vs. El Hijo de Fantasma: After they split the first two rounds, EC3 wins the match by winning round three thanks to a One Percenter at the bell. After the match, Fantasma and AAA star Pagano hit the ring and beat on EC3 until Eddie Edwards made the save.

GFW Tag Team Champions: LAX: Santana and Ortiz w/Homicide vs. Ultimo Maldito and Hijo de Pirate Morgan vs. Black Diamond vs. Arkangel Davino vs. OVE: Just a clip that showed Homicide helping LAX get the pin.

William Weeks vs. Grado: Grado got the win with his Running Boot. After the match, Joseph Park promised Grado this is just the beginning.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: X-Division Champion: Sonjay Dutt vs. Trevor Lee w/ Caleb Konley: This was a war that sadly ended up in a numbers game that Konley and Lee won, ultimately putting the belt around Lee’s waist once again.

Taya Valkyrie vs. Amber Nova: A squash as Valkyrie toyed with Nova before eventually putting her away With the Double Chicken Wing Facebuster.

Johnny Impact vs. Low-Ki: Impact got the win with the Starship Pain but Chris Adonis and Eli Drake beat on Impact after the match to send a clear message.
