Indeed, I am a big fan of Johnny Depp and Sweeney Todd. I thought this movie portrayed Todd very well, and along with the other characters. The scenes were fit with Mr. Todd, dark and gloomy, and just as foggy as Sherlock Holmes (2009) depiction of London.

I just think the movie was a bit predictable, considering many of the climaxes were not shocking to me (as I already guessed who a person was or what would happen to a character.)

Needless to say, I would love to suggest that:

1) Many viewers, including me found the blood in the beginning and throughout the movie to look very fake. I doubt it was meant to look real though, but it never affected my opinion on the movie and what it brought out.

2) Stephen Sondheim indeed put the magic into this entire film because what is a musical without music? However, I think Depp, Carter, and the rest of the cast deserves a part on their singing since Depp did state on an interview that I saw on YouTube, that he took singing lessons and tried his best to sing for this role. Overall, I think the casts' singing was amazing, and I love the songs, so that's why I thought it would be nice to mention how the cast did with the music, not only their accents. But we all know Depp does great British accents in every movie he is in!
