Episode Commentary: Investigative Journalism

It was only a matter of time until the core Spanish study group became an exclusive clique – or at least fancied themselves one. Upon their return from winter break, they see a new face waiting for them in their beloved, secluded spot in the library.

A “chubby, agile” man named Buddy (Jack Black) sits in an eighth, previously unoccupied seat, and has apparently been tailing the group’s moves through the entire, previous semester.

Unfortunately, upon his initial introduction, the group takes a distinct dislike to him, with the exception of Pierce (Chevy Chase), who is utterly mesmerized by his remarkable high kick. Then again, as an athlete, Troy’s (Donald Glover) pretty impressed, too.

Meanwhile, Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) needs someone to run the school newspaper, and a brand-spanking-new office is all the motivation Jeff (Joel McHale) needs for the job. Selfishly ordering others around is a great perk, also.

Annie (Alison Brie) initially seems an obstacle to the cause, but a quick pat on the academic shoulder and a serious assignment for his new “ace” gets her off his back immediately – and Pelton into a potential [] of trouble.

Overall, the episode is absolutely fantastic. Even the special seven soon became self-aware of their own elitism, much to their surprise.

The funniest scenes involved Senor Chang (Ken Jeong); however, as he began the episode by going so far as to fake his own death and hire an actress to deliver the news to the class. كيف تربح في لعبة الروليت Just as they morbidly rejoice the expiration of their hated instructor, in comes the boom box-toting tyrant to boldly educate the masses. مراهنات على كرة القدم

“Feliz Ano Nuevo, chicas. I’m a man who can never die, and this is your first dose of Spanish Uno o Dos – the year I get inside your cabezas,” he triumphantly shouts and proceeds to play a rap song detailing his apparent vigor and immortality.

Now who wouldn’t want this man to develop his young and intellectually fragile mind?

Black’s presence is absolutely welcomed, and his exuberance is perhaps exactly what the show needed. Then again, his quirky charm is so contagious that it’s difficult to imagine him not adding a bit of wry wit to any established dynamic.

Now that “Community” has officially returned for the characters’ second semester, the season premiere has officially raised the stakes. العاب ربح المال من الانترنت After all, with a power-packed episode starring Black and featuring another famous Hollywood face, this sitcom has a lot on its plate.

As it returns next week with “Interpretive Dance,” we’ll have to see if it’s strong enough to tackle the job.
