Straight From Atlus: New Rock of Ages Trailer

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — ATLUS, the video game publisher with gigantic marbles, has dropped a new “Rolling Through the Ages” trailer for Rock of Agesâ„¢, the upcoming balls-to-the-walls game of fast-paced strategy, high art, and gigantic boulders of doom slated for digital release for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PC.

The video, which ushers viewers through the game’s five distinct visual styles, each inspired by a different period in art history, offers the longest glimpses yet of Rock of Ages’ unique tower offense gameplay and quirky sense of humor.

“Rock of Ages is truly a ‘Basalt’ on the senses,” punned Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales at Atlus, incompetently. “It offers gamers a diverse marriage of elements like nothing they’ve seen before. What other game lets players hit a mechanized version of Michaelangelo’s David below the belt, or unleash a massive herd of bovine defenses upon their charging foe? It’s ‘Tuff’ to call this just another tower defense game, especially when it brings so much action and excitement to the table. If anything, it’s a game of tower OFFENSE. We hope gamers ‘Picrite’ when the game is released later this year!”

Rock of Ages rolls out in spring 2011 via digital distribution for PlayStation 3 system, Xbox 360 system, and PC. For more information, please visit www.atlus.com/rockofages.

About Rock of Ages
A rock-solid combination of deep strategy, rock-rolling action, and captivating art and music from throughout history! Two castles stand opposed, bridged by an uneven, narrow pathway. The other is your enemy’s; they’re a jerk, and their crappy crenellations are driving down your property values. Also, their castle sucks, justification enough to try crush it using an enormous rolling stone. Unfortunately, they’ll have a chance to plan and build up some security, doing everything they can to derail your razing rock. Get through their defenses and you’re one step closer to crushing their unsightly tower (see also: their hopes and dreams). But don’t take your turn for granite. Once your turn is over, your opponent’s begins…
