When the Lead Dogs Go Down

Martin Casaus and Christina Crawford were arguably the front-runners in this season of “Tough Enough.”

Both had the technique, look and passion to win the entire thing.

But injuries derailed their hopes, but hopefully not their dreams to one day get to the WWE.

These incidents were the driving force in this episode, but there was a lot more going on in and out of the ring as well.

It was nice to see Trish Stratus work with Christina Crawford at the start of the show. The last female in the competition at the time, Crawford has a tough road ahead of her, but surprisingly has better technique than a few of the men.

It’s sad that an injury has most likely knocked her out of the competition.

That sentiment was clearly evident after one of the worst workouts on the show. A kick-out and throw them out of the right exercise, most of the contestants lacked the execution needed to be WWE superstars.

If that wasn’t enough entertainment for you, the Bella twins, Eve Torrez and Kelly Kelly also appeared on the show and took the group out to dinner. It was interesting to see the difference in behavior in all the contestants. Jeremiah Riggs and Luke Robinson are the rockstars of the group, the recipients of “play” slaps from the Bella twins, while everyone else was busy picking the divas’ brains for tips on getting ahead. Will it affect their chances? Or will they look back at that night and wonder why they didn’t have a good time like the bro-mance of Riggs and Robinson?

Things got lighter however, as the group was sent to THQ headquarters, where they played the new WWE All-Stars game on the X-Box 360. Able to create their own characters, all the contestants were able to show some of their creativity, with mixed results.

While Andy Leavine made a character he felt he could portray in the WWE, Riggs and Robinson got a bit silly. Riggs character wore only underwear and boots and Robinson’s ego was prevalent in his creation as well. Already the victim of a reality check by Steve Austin two weeks ago, how long will Robinson’s ego run rampant?

However, with Casaus and Crawford [apparently] now out of the competition, Robinson may in fact be the guy to beat.

The show is wide open now and ready for someone to step up and take the prize.

Who will it be?
