TNA Impact Wrestling Coverage: Another Waste of Time

TNA continues to middle.

In spite of some decent wrestling action this week on Impact, none of their current storylines were developed in any real way, which made this episode virtually meaningless.

The fact that they didn’t even show the Jeff Jarrett AAA segment didn’t help the show either.

Aside from Eric Young’s short segment that was entertaining [He still has to wrestle more on the show.], there wasn’t much of a reason to watch the show this week.

With Hardcore Justice just a few weeks away, barely any matches have been confirmed and the ones that have, such as the one between Beer Money and Mexican America, are a long ways away from being hot.

This isn’t the way to make money and captivate fans.

Simply put, something has to be done and soon.

Matches:

Bound for Glory Series: Scott Steiner vs. Rob Van Dam:
A solid opening match that lasted longer than expected. However, the ending, which saw Van Dam pin Steiner with a rollup, has been used far too much on TNA programming lately. It’s time the agents and talent begin planning better finishes. This one didn’t do the rest of the match, which featured a nice amount of action, justice.

Miss Tessmacher and Tara vs. Sarita and Rosita for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships: Tessmacher and Tara won the titles in spite of interference from Madison Rayne. Not a fantastic match, but hopefully it’s the start of something better for the division.

Bound for Glory Series: Ladder match- AJ Styles vs. Matt Morgan vs. Samoa Joe vs. Gunner: This match saw Morgan climb up the ladder after he hit the Carbon Footprint on Gunner. A nice amount of action from all the wrestlers involved, even though it was a bit rushed.

Alex Shelley vs. Brian Kendrick for the X-Division Championship: Some solid wrestling action that was somewhat tarnished by a sloppy finish, which saw Austin Aries hit the ring and barely touch Shelley in the head with the title to help earn Kendrick a ring.

Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky for the TNA Knockouts Title:
A complete mess of a match. After Angelina Love and Winter attacked James before the bell, ODB and Jackie Moore attacked Sky. Soon after, Traci Brooks came in to help James and Sky. As a result, no match took place. It was simply filler.

Sting and Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson and Bully Ray:
A quick match that saw Angle and Sting defeat two of Immortals most important members rather easily after Angle hit Anderson with the Olympic Slam. Sure, it was a decent match, but how does this win help build Sting vs. Angle? Where’s the logic?
