When Tough Guys Ruled the Cinema: Deathwish

New York City in the 1970s was an atrocious place to live.  There was nothing but muggings, rapes, and murder taking place, and the streets were not safe to walk at night.  Paul Kersey (Bronson), a New York City architect becomes a one man vigilante after his wife is killed and his daughter is raped by a a couple of low life street punks.  Kersey randomly goes out and kills would-be muggers on the streets, and subways of New York City at night.  Kersey’s actions causes the New York City to decrease and becomes a top story for the news as he is known as the vigilante.

At the site, I'm a music, television and graphic novel kind of guy and that's what I'll be writing for the most part. Expect some book and music reviews as well though [insert demon horns here]. I grew up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, the same neighborhood many of the best mafia films of our day were based on, idolizing guys like Robert Deniro, Martin Scorsese and Al Pacino. I'm also a big sports fan and follow the New York Yankees immensely.
