TNA Impact Wrestling Coverage: No More Hulk, Please

“He’s got a big decision to make”– Impact Wrestling CEO Dixie Carter on Hulk Hogan’s deciding to become Impact General manager.

The bigger decision should be when the TNA creative team should get The Rock treatment and get boots kicked into their collective rumps.

Between the stale angles that lack in logic, Hogan as the new TNA GM, the Quentin Tarantino shifts in time and the continued push of Garett Bischoff, Impact is in desperate need of a shake up.

At this point, there’s only one solution to the mediocrity on Impact. Shut the show off for a month, play best of compilations and then come back with a revamped and recharged product.

This just isn’t working anymore.

Aside from  Austin Aries’ progression on the microphone and the hi-jinx of Eric Young and ODB, Impact is a complete bore.

Please no more lackluster promos. And please, no more music videos.

Just let these guys wrestle.

With the return of the Motor City Machine Guns next week, lets hope the Tag Team Division is the first element of a revitalized show.

Matches:

Madison Rayne vs. Velvet Sky: Rayne is one of the best female workers since Trish Stratus. She is a master of ring psychology and can flat out go. Sky continues to get better every time out and can do more than sell at this point. After a running bulldog, Rayne hit the sit out pedigree for the unexpected clean win over the former Knockouts champion.

Crimson vs. Matt Morgan: Crimson was dominant early on, but Morgan got the majority of the big offense in. And back and forth battle, these two appeared out of gas after about five minutes. Luckily, the double count-out ended the match before it got too ugly.

Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy: Solid match. These two worked hard here. With the added weight, Anderson looks more like Ronnie Garvin every week. Full of counters, this was fun to watch. Well, until Kurt Angle interfered and allowed Anderson [who didn’t see Angle] to hit Hardy with the Mic-Check for the win.

TNA X-Division Champion Austin Aries and James Storm vs. Bully Ray and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode: Aries took a beating early on, but held his own against Ray. Could these two really get involved in an angle? They’re both good on the mic and Aries can wrestle with anyone. With all of Ray’s experience, this could be better than expected. Aries was in the match selling through most of it, but once Storm got the tag, the match changed entirely. Storm was a flurry of clotheslines and after Roode missed the beer spit in Storm’s eyes, The Tennessee Cowboy hit his Last Call Super Kick for the win.
