WWE Coverage: You Dun Musta Made a Wrong Turn

The Wyatt Family is coming…run.

That’s what viewers were told on Monday, after the first of hopefully many vignettes debuted for what easily could be the most unsettling faction that the WWE has seen in years.

Bray Wyatt, the son of Mike Rotunda (IRS) first debuted as Husky Harris on the inaugural season of NXT. Despite his…pudgy look and goofball personality, most educated weathers saw that Harris was one of the only workers with real intrinsic talent. However, NXT was still a few years from making any real impact.

Fast forward and Harris had become Bray Wyatt, a bayou-born preacher/cultist, proclaiming that the end was near to anyone who would listen…and you know who listens? Broadie-effin-Lee.

Now transformed into Luke Harper, Lee was the larger of the lumberjack tag team that also included Grizzly Redwood. Lee’s WWE deal went somewhat under the radar for anyone that doesn’t know what “a Chikara” is.

The final member in the video was one Erik Rowan…and that’s about all that anyone knows about him.

For those that are still reeling from the Wyatt Family’s vignette, here’s the short of it. Think of the Firefly Clan from Rob Zombie’s “House of 1000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects,” with a little bit of the Manson Family, while dropping them in the middle of Jonestown.

The only possible speed bump here, is the already present success of the Shield. With one 3-man team still so new, it should be interesting to see how the Wyatt Family is booked.

On one hand, the could be a huge force in the coming years, with a much darker and more mature aura…or they could end up being something a-kin (no pun intended) to the Godwins or Jesse and Festus.
