TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Hail Sabin?

A lackluster episode of Impact Wrestling wasn’t helped by an absence of entertaining storyline and routine in-ring action.

Check out our weekly TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see what performers made the most of a less than mediocre show.

5: Tito Ortiz: After his “surprise” entrance last week, Ortiz attempted to cut a promo before he was interrupted by Kurt Angle. It’s still unclear what his role in TNA will be. A lack of entertaining in-ring competition this week was the only reason the MMA legend made the list.

4: Mr. Anderson: From a big win against a big up and comer in Magnus, to his work in the booth this week, Anderson had one of his better showings on Impact and continues to keep the Aces and Eights somewhat relevant. While it’s obvious he won’t be World Champion again anytime soon, he’s carving out a role in the upper mid-card.

3: Bully Ray: Although his “wife” Brook Hogan said he was all talk and “little” action, Bully Ray continues to make himself matter in the company. His steel cage match with TNA World Heavyweight Champion Chris Sabin at Hardcore Justice will be awesome. Is it bad though that we were more excited about a possible Team 3D reunion than his ongoing feud with Sabin?

2: Main Event Mafia: Although they lost ground in the Bound for Glory series as both Samoa Joe and Magnus lost to Jef Hardy and Mr. Anderson, Kurt Angle’s role in the Main Event with Chris Sabin and Team 3D made sure the super group is still pertinent. While it appears that either the Aces and Eights or the MEM will be kaput after the next pay per view, MEM at least made things happen in their short return, whereas the Aces and Eights started off with a bang, but died a slow, painful death.

1: Chris Sabin: While Sabin still looks “weird” with the World Heavyweight title around his waist, he’s done an excellent job in the ring. Regardless, it still feels like he’s holding the belt for someone else. At this point, it’s in Sabin’s best interest to get in the ring with Austin Aries or Aj Styles and cent his role as World Champion. Or move on in another role all together.
