Could Darren Young Help Fight the Triple H/McMahon Regime?

Powered by Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Triple H, the new corporate faction has bullied their way to the top of the WWE. Along the way they’ve embarrassed and demoralized the roster. It’s at the point where no one is safe from their wrath. With a desperate need for a group of heroes, could Darren Young be one of the guys who helps get the “workers” the respect they deserve?

Ever since Young “came out” to TMZ a month or so ago, he and tag team partner Titus O’Neil have been on a huge roll, beating every tag team in their way and even sparkling in singles matches. With the company’s “Be a Star” campaign in doubt with the current storyline, could the outed Young join the diminutive, but über talented Daniel Bryan and help the locker room get the respect they deserve?

That could be interesting, especially considering how The Big Show, Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler have been silenced by Triple H and his faction. O’Neil matches up nicely with Reigns, while Young could work well with Rollins. That alone makes it an easy push for a tag team encounter between the two talented teams, but when you add in Bryan’s chemistry with The Shield and Randy Orton, an eventual eight-man tag and/or long storyline sees almost inevitable.

Like Bryan, Young isn’t your typical WWE superstar and between the two of them, they could be the babyfaces that fans look to for positivity and hope.Young has proved he’s more than a tag team performer, especially during his match with CM Punk in July, where he pushed the former WWE Champion to the limit. But with the Tag Team division in need of depth and O’Neil and Young’s charisma together, it makes sense to let them see where they can take their routine.

Between O’Neil’s barking and strength and Young’s ability and courage to expose his personal life, The Prime Time Players may indeed get to live up to their name on RAW.
