WWE RAW Coverage: Christmas Time in the Ring

Dave Bautista’s return to the WWE is set for January 20th and that essentially was the only real cool news to come out of this week’s RAW.

More a family show to celebrate the holiday season, this week’s episode was more a way for families to connect with the in-ring action. Away from the main event and the six-man tag between The Wyatt Family and Daniel Bryan and Goldust, they’re wasn’t much wrestling either.

Matches:

Nattie Neidhart, Nikki and Brie Bella, Naomi, Cameron and Eva Marie vs. Kaityn, Tamina Snuka, Aksana, Alicia Foxx, Vikki Guerrero and Summer Rae: After some festive strikes and tag team horseplay, Neidhart won with the Sharpshooter on Aksana.

Curtis Axel vs. Sin Cara: A decent back and worth match, Cara’s high energy attack and Axel’s strike-heavy offense was fun to watch. Cara won with the Olympic Slam /Senton Bomb combination.

Luke Harper, Bray Wyatt and Erik Rowan vs. Daniel Bryan and WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust: This was an epic six-man tag. Every competitor pushed themselves and worked their moves into a well-paced match. Wyatt eventually got the win with the Sister Abagail on Rhodes.

Christmas Present on a Pole Match: Fandango w/Summer Rae vs. Dolph Ziggler: The match was a bit wacky, but a cool finish gave Fandango his first shot at the Intercontinental Title.

Jimmy and Jey Uso vs. Darren Young and Titus O’Neil: A solid match that saw O’Neil get him his licks before the Usos finished off Young with a Super Kick and Top Rope Splash.

Damien Sandow vs. Mark Henry: After some merry hardcore action, Henry won wight he World’s Strongest Slam.

Los Matadores vs. Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter: A wacky match that had one redeeming quality was Cesaro’s Swing. The Matadores won after a top rope Flip attack on Swagger.

Ryback vs. Kofi Kingston: Ryback made quick work of Kingston with the Meathook Clothesline and the Shellshock.

Intercontinental Champion Big E. Langston, CM Punk and John Cena vs. Roman Reigns, United States Champion Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins: An action-filled match that ended in a no-contest after The Shield beat on Langston for a bit too long. After the referee threw the match out, all the good guys nailed The Shield with their finishing moves.
