TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Ready to Lockdown

With the battle lines for Lockdown nearly drawn, it’s easy to say the show hasn’t been this interesting in years. MVP’s arrival has done more than shake up the company, it’s allowed old and new faces to get right in the middle of heated feuds. As a result, TNA almost feels like a different company.

Check out our weekly TNA Power Rankings to see what stars are thriving before the company heads to Lockdown.

Honorable Mention: Kurt Angle: Beleaguered with injuries during his TNA career, Angle has always found a way to make an Impact. His induction into the TNA Hall of Fame is well-deserved. His match with Ethan Carter III at Lockdown will be an awesome one.

5: Samoa Joe: His win over Bad Bones this week only adds to his recent reign of destruction. With the rules in his favor at Lockdown, Joe will have zero reason not to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Again, with momentum on his side as well, Joe “should” win the belt. But this is TNA, so anything can happen. Who interferes in this almost inevitability will not only make the show more interesting, they should also be Joe’s next angle.

4: Bobby Roode: With match-making ability in the wake of Dixie Carter’s absence on this week’s Impact, Roode used his stroke to book a solid six-man tag match. His match with MVP later also proved the guy is one of the most dependable workers in company history. Like many of the other performers on this list, Roode has momentum on his side and with a plethora of confidence, Roode should turn in a remarkable performance at Lockdown.

3: The Wolves, Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards: The new TNA Tag Team Champions, the Wolves will also take part in the match for control of the company with MVP. Two of the best young workers in the industry, the Wolves have yet to truly be unleashed. After a few more matches, fans will begin to understand why the Independent Wrestling scene holds them in such high regard. As far as their match this week on Impact, although they were unable to secure the win, the drama between them and the Bromans is far from finished, setting the scene for more brawling in the Lockdown main event.

2: MVP: Since his arrival in TNA, MVP has surely shaken things up. Even a simple contract signing between Joe and Magnus for the World Title at Lockdown was smoother and with far less nonsense.

1: Magnus: The TNA World Heavyweight Champion has everything to lose at Lockdown If things go wrong, he could not only lose the title, but Dixie Carter, his biggest supporter, could lose control of the company to MVP. Sneaky and cunning, Magnus will definitely have a plan to ensure his future in the company.
