WWE RAW Power Rankings: Second City Saint Inspired

The anticipated arrival of CM Punk was the driving force behind this week’s RAW, but there were plenty other cool developments. Although the Wrestlemania XXX card isn’t in perfect shape just yet, the unpredictability factor is there. Anything can happen.

Check out our weekly RAW Power Rankings to read who else is not taking the straight road to Wrestlemania 30.

Honorable Mention: Paul Heyman: Paul E. set the table for this week’s RAW with a monologue that not only teased CM Punk’s return, but ultimately ended up being a promo for the Brock Lesnar/Undertake feud at Wrestlemania 30. One of the most charismatic personalities in the business, Heyman got the Chicago crowd pissed as soon as the show began.

5: The Wyatt Family: With another win over The Shield, the Family have never been stronger. While their Wrestlemania matchup seems unclear, especially with the friction in The Shield an ongoing factor, they’ll still play a huge role in the event either way.

4: Daniel Bryan: While Batista’s heel role is a bit confusing, Bryan outclassed him on the microphone and in the ring this week on RAW. The best worker in the company, Bryan continues to add names to the list of wrestlers he makes look much better than they actually are. Make no mistake, Batista is not as good as Bryan made him look this week. With the thought of a Bryan/Triple H match on the horizon for Wrestlemania 30, Bryan’s stock continues to rise.

3: Brock Lesnar: Just 18 minutes into this week’s RAW, Lesnar nailed former World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry with the F5 through an announce table. That’s how you make an impact. Easily one of the Undertaker’s biggest challenges ever, Lesnar has momentum on his side and with WWE title aspirations as well, he needs the win more than anything.

2: Jimmy and Jey Uso: It’s been a long road to the Tag Team title for the young team. Many never thought would ever wear gold. Although they have a ways to go before they are as charismatic as the team they beat for the titles, The New Age Outlaws, they are a pair of energetic workers that break a sweat every time they get in the ring.

1: CM Punk: The CM Punk chants went on for three hours. It didn’t matter who spoke, who hit a monster move, who went through the announce table. If that doesn’t prove Punk’s popularity and his importance to the company, not much else will. The naysayers will say it had more to do with the Chicago crowd, but then explain why there have been chants every week Punk has been off the show. Simply put, the WWE is better with Punk in it and Wrestlemania will be a far better card with “The Second City Saint” on it.
