TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: EY Dethrones Magnus

With a new World Heavyweight Champion in Eric Young and continued storyline developments, this week’s Impact Wrestling certainly kept us in our seats.

Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see who else managed to steal our attention.

Honorable Mention: Angelina Love: Her win this week earned her a shot at the TNA Knockouts title. With all of the attention she’s gotten on Impact the past few weeks and her revitalized union with Velvet Sky, Love is incredibly dangerous.

5: Magnus: His reign as TNA World Heavyweight Champion wasn’t particularly eventful and Magnus still needs work to be the type of champion many think that he can be. Regardless, he’s capable of having solid matches with pretty much anyone on the roster and has potential on the microphone. With a few small changes, he can be a much different performer and with a rematch with new TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young in the works, Magnus can still develop into the warrior he claims to be.

4: Willow: Although he was the first competitor eliminated from the 10-man battle royal this week, his reign of terror over Dixie Carter’s henchman ensured he was still pertinent. With plenty of support from fans and a catchy new gimmick, Jeff Hardy’s alter ego is quickly finding his role in the new look Impact Wrestling.

3: Bully Ray: His encounter with Dixie Carter wasn’t that eventful, but it did go a way in helping Ray get back onto the good side of fans. His performance in the TNA Title gauntlet also continued to fuel his feud with Bobby Roode, which currently is the best in-ring angle in the company.

2: Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards: Although their win over The Bromans was via DQ, the Wolves continue to gain momentum. It’s just a matter of time until they hold on to the Tag Team titles for good.

1: Eric Young: He’s been in the company for a long time and held every other title. Unlike James Storm, who was in a similar situation a few years ago, Young’s shocking victory is a bit different. For years Young has been a fan favorite and a top notch entertainer and performer. Unlike Storm, who was a tag team specialist and never thrived by himself, Young has done everything asked of him by TNA. Simply put, this is something he absolutely deserves.
