WWE RAW Coverage: Not Enough

“You can’t just whisper in everyone’s ears and expect them to listen,”- Bray Wyatt

A month ago, it appeared, with four or five solid matches all sewn up, that Wrestlemania XXX was going to be a solid show. But with little in terms of storyline development and huge, but uneventful cards, RAW has done nothing to make the company’s most important PPV any better.

This week’s RAW was no exception. Despite some killer promo from Bray Wyatt and Triple H and a surprise appearance from Daniel Bryan, this RAW, even with a surprise Piper’s Pit, was entirely passable. Barring any cool surprises, this year’s Wrestlemania will lack in luster.

Matches:

Non-Title: Intercontinental Champion Big E. Langston vs. Alberto Del Rio: Langston was full of power, but Del Rio worked on the champ’s arm throughout the match. Although Del Rio was technically sound, Langston’s power was too much at times for the former WWE Champion. After Del Rio had Langston in his signature Arm Breaker, Langston countered into a Powerbomb for a near fall. However, Del Rio continued the onslaught and hit a wonderful Stomp from the top and finished off Langston with a nasty Buzzsaw Kick.

Summer Rae vs. Natalya Neidhart: Rae was vicious, but Neidhart was in control for most of the match. But after Neidhart couldn’t hook in the Sharpshooter, Rae hit Nattie with a kick to the head and followed up with a quick Rollup for the win.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso and Los Matadores vs. Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter and Curtis Axel and Ryback: Lots of tags and offense, but nothing special. After each team went through some signature offense in a crazy flurry, The Matadores switched places behind the ref’s back, allowing one of them to rollup Swagger for the win.

Fandango w/Summer Rae and Damien Sandow vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust: Another match that was solid, but had no real implications. All four competitors showboated a bit, but Goldust shined the brightest and beat Sandow with the Final Cut.

Bray Wyatt w/Erik Rowan and Luke Harper vs. R-Truth w/Xavier Woods: Away from some signature offense, Truth was on the defensive most of the match. After Wyatt won with the Sister Abigail, Harper nailed Woods with the Discus Clothesline. After the trio posed, John Cena showed up in Rowan’s gimmick and hit the Attitude Adjustment on him before Wyatt and Harper ran from the ring.

Non-Title LumberJill Match: Divas Champion AJ Lee vs. Naomi: With the entire Diva roster surrounding the ring, Lee had her work cut out for her. After the Divas beat on Tamina Snuka and threw Lee back in the ring, Naomi hit the

Kane vs. Roman Reigns w/ WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins: Kane was in control early on, but Reigns fought back with signature offense until The New Age Outlaws interfered. A few seconds later, the match was thrown out after The Shield pounced on Kane.

No DQ: WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Batista: With Triple H and Stephanie McMahon ringside, Orton and Batista beat the crap out of each other, using everything from steel chairs to kendo sticks. The match quickly got out of control however once Daniel Bryan showed up and completely cleaned house.
