TNA Impact Wrestling Coverage: Mist, Emotions, Chairs and 3Ds

With a new member of the TNA roster in Chris Melendez, the new look for Sanada and the continuing dram for the TNA World Heavyweight title and plenty of feuds up and down the card, TNA continues to make the most of their time in New York City.

It’s almost sad to see it come to an end and if anything the creative team should take the more focused writing approach back to Orlando and make sure that they ride the momentum for as long as they possibly can.

Although a far cry away from what we see on RAW every week, Impact is just as enjoyable a show as Main Event, NXT or Smackdown, it just needs to continue to build. If they keep their spot on Spike TV, all signs appear that TNA will stay alive just a little while longer.

Matches:

Street Fight: Tommy Dreamer vs. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley w/MVP and Kenny King: A crazy opener, that saw Dreamer use the hardcore style and his signature moves to make this more of a fight than you would have originally thought. Lashley however fought back and won with a vicious Spear.

#1 Contenders Match: Taryn Terrell vs, Madison Rayne: Terrell hit the Swinging Neckbreaker and the Top Rope Cross Body, but she couldn’t put Rayne away. Rayne then tried to use the ropes for leverage, but got caught by the ref. When she turned around, Terrell hit the one-handed 3/4 Neckbreaker for the win.

Tigre Uno, Crazy Steve and Low Ki vs. Homicide, Zema Ion and Manik: A wild and crazy encounter that saw Kid get the win with the Ki Crusher after an insane flurry of moves towards the end of the match.

Ethan Carter III w/Rockstar Spud vs. Rhino: Interference from Spud and a low blow from Carter kept him in the match, but Rhino’s power was too much for the young heel. Setting up for the Gore, Rhino was stopped by Spud however and then nailed by ECIII with a chair. The match was then awarded to Rhino via DQ.

The Great Sanada w/James Storm vs. Austin Aries: Senada’s homage to The Great Muta is cool, but Aries was in control of the match until Storm distracted him. A Green Mist and a nasty Super Kick on a seated Aries earned him the win.

Tag Team Challenge Series Best of Three: Jeff and Matt Hardy vs. Bully Ray and Devon vs. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards: Finishers, High Sots and Signatures galore, this was an awesome Main Event that saw Team 3D got the win with the 3D.
