WWE RAW Power Rankings: Viper and Cena at Their Best

An effective balance of promo and in-ring work, this week’s RAW began to put the cement on the already solid foundation for the upcoming Summerslam pay per view.

Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who’s on the rise with just two and a half weeks until Summerslam.

Honorable Mention: Chris Jericho: Nothing beats a good old-school Y2J bashing on Stephanie McMahon. Add in Jericho’s feud with Bray Wyatt and his importance to the current state of the company is immeasurable.

5: Bo Dallas: Although he suffered his first loss, Dallas quickly beat on R-Truth and kept up his annoying ways. One of the best up and coming heels in the company, his first loss is definitely a blessing in disguise.

4: Antonio Cesaro: The King of Swing’s testicles grew about three sizes this week as he challenged WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena to start this week’s Monday Night RAW. His promo before the match was just as ballsy. But usually the case for the Swiss Superstar, Cesaro backed it all up. Wrestling one of the best matches of his young WWE career, Cesaro pushed Cena to the limit and continued to make the case that he deserves more time on the microphone and of course, in the ring.

3: AJ Lee/Paige: Simply put, this is the best angle in Divas history, next to Trish Stratus and Lita. With a few chapters already written, it continues to take shape and build into something special. With Lee now aware of Paige’s potential and the fire between the two fully lit, this feud can really grow. Their next match at Summerslam will be an epic unless they don’t get the ring time they need/deserve.

2: Randy Orton: Talk about making a statement. Destroying Roman Reigns this week on RAW, Orton has reestablished himself as a top heel and someone you don’t want to screw around with. The Viper is back.

1: John Cena: His promo at the start of the show was proof of his ability on the mic, while his match with Cesaro proves that he’s a much better worker than anyone thinks. Easily one of the most well-rounded performers of this era, Cena’s reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion may come to an end at Summerslam, but he’s certainly made the most of it.
