NXT Power Rankings: Neville’s Legacy Begins to Take Shape

William Regal’s arrival as the new NXT General Manager and a card filled with squash matches topped a solid, but otherwise uneventful episode of NXT.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see how the next NXT Takeover event is shaping up.

Honorable Mention: Bailey: Another win over Sasha Banks this week on NXT firmly establishes her as the number-one contender for the NXT Women’s title. All set for a match with Charlotte Flair, Bayley’s confidence and momentum is at an all-time high.

5: The Ascension: Konnor and Viktor: This team needs a wakeup call. They need to have a real match where they get pushed by athletes and not nameless jobbers. They need work on the microphone as well. There’s a ton of talent there, but it’s still so unpolished that it can’t be taken seriously yet.

4: William Regal: The new NXT General Manager, Regal made an immediate impact scheduling a fatal-four-way encounter for the NXT title at Takeover. A legend respected by purists and casual fans, his participation as GM makes NXT a better show.

3: Bull Dempsey: His match with Angelo Dawkins this week was far from special and his matchup with Mojo Rawley is nothing to get excited about either. Regardless, if in the ring with the right guy, Dempsey is capable of being a solid performer.

2: Sami Zayn: Arguably the best worker in NXT, Zayn is a guy that took Antonio Cesaro to the limit several times and has proven countless times he can outwork any member of the NXT roster. His title shot at Takeover is a well-deserved one.

1: Adrian Neville: Facing Sami Zayn, Tyler Breeze and Tyson Kidd in a Fatal-Four-Way at NXT Takeover, Neville will have his hands full, but in this case, he got exactly what he wanted. A fighting champion, Neville needs to have a few more
