WWE RAW Coverage: Anonymously Weak

Following Sting’s arrival at Survivor Series, this week’s episode of RAW was one of the most anticipated in months.

While Daniel Bryan’s appearance as GM for the night was a fun one and ensured the show started with a bang, this week’s RAW slowed down big time, plodding to a finish and losing most of the momentum it had before the episode began.

With no appearance from Brock Lesnar and all the champions of Team Authority holding on to their titles, this week’s RAW was a bit of a letdown.

While “The New Day” is scheduled to appear next week, the company should have one of their own, this week.

Matches:

Ryback vs. Mark Henry: Ryback made quick work of Henry, beating him on the outside and finishing him off with the Spinebuster and Meathook Clothesline.

Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper vs. Dean Ambrose: An old-school, strike-heavy encounter that featured tons of back and forth action. More a way of putting Ambrose in a title match than payback, Harper was not in a position weakness. Hitting Ambrose with his Swinging Side Effect Slam, Harper nearer got the win, but Ambrose was always a counter away from getting back in the match. After Harper kicked out of Ambrose’s Elbow Splash, Harper nearly won with a Super Kick. Ambrose scored another near-fall following his signature Clothesline, but Harper was able to counter the Dirty Deeds and push Ambrose into the referee to get the match thrown out and retain his title. Ambrose got the last laugh however when he hit the Dirty Deeds on a steel chair- that was until Bray Wyatt hit the ring and nailed Ambrose with the Sister Abigail on the outside.

WWE Tag Team Champions Damien Sandow and The Miz vs. Goldust and Stardust: A solid back and forth with a solid pace. After The Miz faked a nose injury on the outside, Mizdow did all the heavy-lifting before Miz jumped back in and finished off Stardust with the Skull-Crushing Finale.

Fandango w/ Rosa Mendez vs. Justin Gabriel: Fandango made quick work of Gabriel with the Guillotine Leg Drop from the top rope.

Brie Bella w/Divas Champion Nikki Bella vs. AJ Lee: Following interference from Nikki, Brie was able to score the win with a Rollup. After the match however, Lee told the Bellas that talent wasn’t sexually transmitted.

Adam Rose and Bunny vs. Tyson Kidd and Natalya Neidhart: Kidd got the win via Rollup after Bunny accidentally slowed up Rose by grabbing his legs following an Irish Whip.

Seth Rollins, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury vs. John Cena and Dolph Ziggler: A mess of a Main Event that saw Cena an Ziggler get the win following an Attitude Adjustment and Zig-Zag on Mercury and Noble. After the match, Bryan threw Rollins into the ring and he got the Super Kick from Ziggler and the Attitude Adjustment from Cena.

Following the end of the match, the anonymous General Manager returned and claimed order will return to the show next week.
