Oscar Isaac Talks ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Role

These days it does not hurt to be Oscar Isaac—First, he is seen in quite possibly the biggest teaser trailer ever in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”—second, “A Most Violent Year,” a film he stars in with Jessica Chastain was named film of the year by National Board of Review—and third, he’s playing the villain in the highly anticipated 2016 blockbuster “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

While doing the press rounds promoting “A Most Violent Year,” Isaac talked with IGN to talk about his approach to the role of Apocalypse.

“In the early conversations we talked a lot about that [Apocalypse’s distinct point of view and agenda,” said Isaac. “Of course, you read the comic book, and [Apocalypse is] not so shaded with gray—except his face. [Laughs] That’s the only thing grey about him.”

Isaac would not stop there. The actor would go into greater detail with the outlet—describing his interest in the character.
