Wrestlemania 31 Power Rankings: Rollins’ Future is Now

Title changes galore and appearances from the nWo, DX, Rhonda Rousey and The Rock?

This year’s Wrestlemania certainly had an old-school feel.

Check out our Wrestlemania Power Rankings to see who left the promotion’s flagship event with Wrestlemania moments that’ll last a lifetime.

Honorable Mention: The Big Show: It makes sense. The guy should have won it last year and even though he’s on the last leg of his career, it was a nice moment for the former WCW, ECW, and WWE Champion.

The Real End of the Monday Night War: Seeing Sting and Triple H go at it like that- and the return of DX and the nWo, was a fitting end to a rivalry that took many millennial back to their childhoods. While many will say that the added faces needed to be there to make up for the lukewarm match, it was a fun time regardless.

Ronda Rousey: Her appearance at Wrestlemania 31 was a shocker. The best female fighter in UFC history, Rousey made her presence felt, taking out both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a damn cool Wrestlemania moment. But Rousey’s appearance leaves even bigger questions. Will she stay with the company?

Stealing’ the Win: Cesaro and Kidd retained their titles in a crazy opener that was all about offense. The team’s vast, Natalya, even got in on the offense, locking in the Sharpshooter on El Torito. Although the tag team division isn’t as strong as it used to be, Kidd and Cesaro shined and proved once again why they have the titles in the first place.

5: Daniel Bryan: Winning his first Intercontinental title at Wrestlemania, Bryan proved he’s still got something left in his tank after several losses in a row leading up to Wrestlemania. Still one of the top talents in the promotion, Bryan will bring back the prestige to the title, especially with the WWE World Heavyweight title being defended far less than it used to be.

4: Randy Orton: Hitting perhaps one of the best variations of the RKO in WWE history, Orton created one of the coolest moments of this year’s Wrestlemania. With Rollins now WWE World Heavyweight Champion, it’ll be interesting to see where Orton goes from here.

3: John Cena: In one of the most important moments of his career, well at least according to Michael Cole, Cena beat Rusev to win the United States title and end Rusev’s undefeated streak. With Daniel Bryan and John Cena firmly in control of the mid-card titles, it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll be booked from here on out.

2: The Undertaker: Taker had a more than solid match (Even better considering he hasn’t been in the ring in a year) with Bray Wyatt and proved once again that he’s the king of Wrestlemania. Still a beloved figure in the WWE Universe, you have to wonder what’s next for the Deadman.

1: Seth Rollins: The new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Rollins stopped what was an amazing match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, creating an amazing finish to what ultimately turned out to be a great Wrestlemania.
