WWE RAW Power Rankings: Roman Steppin’ Up

With three hours of television at their disposal, WWE failed to generate any interest in the product after Monday Night RAW concluded last night. Dragged out segments, senseless storylines and questionable match-making left the Buffalo, New York crowd silent.

But lets take a look at the Power Rankings for this week, examining the best of the worst on RAW this week.

5: King Barrett: After taking a hiatus to film a movie after SummerSlam, Barrett returned last night in grand fashion, laying waste to both Neville and Stardust with a pair of Bull Hammers. The winner of the 2015 King of the Ring has been relegated to the middle of the card since winning the once prestigous tournament. But perhaps his return last night puts him in a meaningful feud again.

4: Big Show: As he prepares to face “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar this Saturday at Madison Square Garden, Show continued his sudden run of dominance. After defeating Cesaro last week, “The Giant” made quick work of “The Worlds Strongest Man” Mark Henry. But if WWE was looking to make Show a credible threat, they’re about five years too late.

3: Kane: When Ashley from Human Resources deemed Kane fit to remain as the director of operations, WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins took matters into his own hands, trying to take out Kane’s ankle again. But a backstage, Kane emerged from an ambulance, quickly adjusted his leg and returned to take Rollins out. The entire segment reeked of 2000 WCW and only made Rollins look foolish. At least Kane can cure himself of pain quickly.

2: Bray Wyatt: Facing Roman Reigns in the main event, Wyatt sent the “training wheels” Braun Strowman and Luke Harper to the back, going into battle alone. Wyatt showed he could more than handle himself without help but ended up speared through a table for his troubles.

1: Roman Reigns: How about the improvement Reigns has made? At one point, fans could not wait to boo him, but at the end of the night, he got the crowd on their feet to chant “YES!” in unison. A devastating spear to “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt through the announce table was the highlight of the night, but happened far too late to salvage and otherwise poor episode of RAW.
